SMB \ CIFS \ HDD Video Player

DG Media is a video/audio player designed for Android media hubs/players like minix, qbox, mxq and other TV boxes, but can be used on phones and tablets.

NVidia Shield TV and Android TV Support have also been added.

Also supports Samsung DEX mode for multi-window and full-screen playback.

allows you to connect to Windows smb (samba)\CIFS shares and play media or play media outside the local device such as USB hard drives, memory cards or SD cards and also connect to a TvHeadend server to play live TV and TV recorded streams.

The video player supports closed captions and more subtitle options are in the works.

It was designed to be very simple and work with the remote controls that come with TV boxes like the Minix.

If there is autoplay at the next video support for watching TV shows, it will play at the end of an entire folder.

Permissions

DG Media Player uses the following permissions:

• "full network access", to open network and internet streams.

• "Read the contents of your store" to read your media files on your device.

• "modify or delete the contents of your storage" in order to allow you to delete media files and store subtitles.

• "prevent device from sleeping" to prevent the device from sleeping while watching a video.

• "internet", Google Ad Services uses the Internet to serve ads.

• "record audio and modify audio settings", for audio player viewer
